Aquamarine is the birthstone for the month of March!
This piece is handcrafted in New Hampshire, made entirely from ecological 14k Palladium White Gold. I use this metal alloy because it combines the best of 2 worlds- The rich gray of platinum and palladium with the durability and brightness of 14k White Gold. The combined metal shones beautifully, or retains the brushed finish perfectly.
I had carved this setting from a chunk of wax, made a mold and cast the piece before hand cleaning and setting each 8mm x 8mm natural blue aquamarine cushion shaped gemstone.
Each stone varies in weight because of the differences in the depth of the stone. I select my gems for uniformity in color and clarity, as well as superior cut.
This piece holds a diagonal bezel set 8mm cushion cut Aquamarine. The finish of the setting is polished in the first image, but I'm happy to make this brushed or matte finish if that's your preference.
The band is 1.6mm wide and rounded for smooth, comfortable wear. The snag-free bezel is great if you work with your hands since it doesn't catch, or scratch.
The bezel height from the side is 7mm to accommodate the height of the gemstone it holds and keep the culet (sharp bit) from irritating your skin beneath the ring.
